Description Summary: Provides care under supervisionof physician or registered nurses for clinic patients, according toestablished standards and practices. Performs various labprocedures when necessary and in accordance with competency.Responsibilities: Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUSCompetencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader ofLeaders. Under the direction of the physician; performs basicpatient care duties including, but not limited to, obtaining vitalsigns, weighing patients, and collecting specimens [includingphlebotomy (specific to site). Assists provider(s) in examinationand treatment of patients and with procedures. Assist with patientflow through the clinic. Answers phone/records phone messages, andassists provider(s) with patient related calls. Assists inscheduling test appointment, results and pre-certification.Documents any information related to patient. Assists provider(s)with medication refills. Administers medications/immunizationsaccording to provider order. Cleans and restocks exam rooms. Cleansequipment in accordance with policy. Orders stock supplies fromsupply department (specific to site maintains sterile technique andutilizes universal protocol. Performs routine clerical dutiesassigned, including but not limited to locating patient charts,filing and the completion of routine forms. Attends/completesrequired meetings and in-service training and performs other dutiesas assigned.
