Job Description:
Soliant Education is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Wylie, TX. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and working closely with students, parents, and other professionals to ensure educational success and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum to support students with various disabilities.
- Utilize evidence-based teaching methods to address students learning, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress.
- Regularly assess and monitor student performance, adjusting instruction and IEP goals as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights on student progress and recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, assessments, and IEP documentation.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and achievement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Texas Special Education teaching certification.
- Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to modify instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
