Stanton Violin Studio

Hi, I'm Debbie Stanton and I appreciate your visit to my website. I love teaching and am tremendously excited at every new opportunity to help a student. As a great believer in Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's philosophy, I have been a part of the Ann Arbor Suzuki Institute for several years. I earned my official Suzuki teacher training from the American Suzuki Institute at the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and also while studying privately for several years with Carolyn Tarzia, Suzuki specialist and longtime Ann Arbor Public School Instrumental Music teacher. Over the years I attended many National Suzuki Teachers' Conferences, some of which featured Dr. Suzuki, himself. Having received my Bachelor of Arts in Education (Elementary certificate) from the University of Michigan in 1983, I continued studying at Eastern Michigan University in the Instrumental Music Education program. Included in that training was private study with Prof.
